Voting is important… including voting for your pick of WNDG topics!
Take advantage of your opportunity to influence WNDG topics for next term (May to August). A survey is now available to solicit your suggestions for the topics next term. You can find the survey by visiting:
https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?hl=en&formkey=dGxhLVF5VGNxMGg1eDZYeE1FbWdFZEE6MA#gid=0
The survey will also ask whether or not you would support piloting a new facilitation style for the fifth Wednesday of each month. Information on the Community-Building Through Dialog Circles facilitation style is provided in the survey.
Be sure to place your vote ASAP so that we can set the schedule of topics starting next week.
This week we take a trip to the past…
GLOW- The Queer and Questioning Community Centre, the group that started the Wednesday Night Discussion Group more than two decades ago, is turning 40 years old next week!! To celebrate this milestone, the discussion this week will focus on queer history, with a specific focus on local queer history.
As always, hope to see you there!
This Week at the WNDG: Edgar helps us address homophobia!
This week we will be discussing how we can work together to “Address Homophobia” in our community.
We will also be welcoming Edgar as a new facilitator this week.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
Queer Gazette this week – with a Guest Editor!
This week is our regular monthly Queer Gazette. Please come to the discussion group with some articles (from newspapers, magazines or other written media) for discussion with the other participants.
This week’s editition of the Queer Gazette will be “edited” by a Guest Facilitator – Adam! Try not to be too hard on him!
Discussion this evening is a go!
Just in case there was any confusion, the WNDG will be held this evening! The University of Waterloo was open today, so it is anticipated that we will have the appropriate access to the room and building to proceed.
See you tonight!
This week we discuss “Queer Slang” – weather permitting!
This week’s discussion will be focusing on Queer Slang – provided the weather co-operates.
With talk of inclement weather developing overnight, there is a chance that the University of Waterloo will be closed tomorrow. In the event that the University closes, the discussion group will be cancelled (it is uncertain if paths will be cleared or buildings/rooms will be open during a closure).
If the discussion group is cancelled, we will post an announcement on the web page, so check www, wndg.ca for updates.
It is time to select topics for the Winter 2011 Term!
