After Discussion Socials Are Cancelled for the Spring Term

For the past few years, Wednesday Night Discussion Group participants have gathered after the formal discussion for an informal social at the Grad House on the main University of Waterloo campus.

The Grad House will be closed for renovations until September 2012 and we will not be organizing any informal socials until the Grad House reopens.

We wish the staff of the Grad House all the best during the renovations and thank them for their past hospitality!

Survey Says… Changes to the WNDG This Spring!

A heartfelt thanks to all those who participated in our survey to help plan for the discussion groups this May through August! The survey results are in and there are a few small changes in the works!

We will be adjusting the sequence of discussion formats each month. Based on the survey results, we will be moving the Queer Gazette discussion format to the fifth Wednesday of each month. This means that this format will only be offered twice over the next four months.

In place of the monthly Queer Gazette, we will be hosting a second Coming Out & Questioning format and reordering our formats as a result. Our new monthly sequence of discussion formats is:

First Wednesday: Coming Out & Questioning

Second Wednesday: Community Building Through Circle Dialogue

Third Wednesday: Coming Out & Questioning

Fourth Wednesday: Questions from a Hat

Fifth Wednesday: Queer Gazette
